These are the five panels (still subject to change) as I have them so far. I have not placed them in the correct order for this post but will be fixing it soon and reposting. The correct order is:
The B&W, the Cubism, the Expressionism, the Art Nouveau, then the Pop art.
I still have a good deal of work to do but it has been a busy week so I’m not as far along as I would like to be again. So here is the info on each panel. I have Refereence work but am not sure if I should post them or not.
Black and White:
The dark/evil army is invading Basha’s home and she doesn’t know who they are or what they want. She is hiding in the trees and watching them as they pass by. This panel is meant to show the mystery that Basha is feeling about not knowing who the mystery invaders are while still being the dramatic opening to the upcoming war.
The artists I looked at are:
Jim Starr – an Illustrator
Dave Cunning and BMB – online comic titles B&W
Cubism:
The King has given the order to go to war and Basha’s world has now shifted off its axis. Nothing is the same anymore and she is about to face a life changing moment in the battle to come.
Artists I looked at:
Pablo Picasso -Cubist painter
Kaina Wyatt- unknown
Juan Gris – Cubist painter
Expressionism:
The two armies are meeting on the battle field. Tensions are high as the fighting is about to start and many will die. Many soldiers are afraid and the monsters seem bigger and badder than they truly are while the demons see the winged soldiers as a large golden army from the heavens.
Artists I looked at:
Art Nouveau:
Basha is fighting her way to the General of the invading army. Basha’s golden spear flashes across the ground as coppery blood stains the earth and enemies fall before her.
Artists I looked at:
Pop:
Basha has landed the final blow and the General falls. The war is over and the victory is hers. The scene is straight from the comic books as the Hero triumphs over the villain and the day is saved.
